This is going to be a very compact high level explanation of video marketing. I will be posting larger blog posts along with videos diving in deeper in video and video marketing so make sure to come on back if this interests you. Let’s get started!

Video marketing is quickly becoming the most powerful forms of content marketing and marketing in general. Now I would hate to dive right in without making sure we are on the same page and all understand what video marketing is. Well it’s marketing that heavily incorporates video. Now of course it can be more than that but a video marketing campaign can incorporate videos like testimonials, corporate training, events, how to videos, viral videos, documentaries, so on and so on.

Now the power of video is incredible but can also be incredibly devastating.Publishing a low quality video is actually worse than not publish video at all. A cheap video damages your brand and image and I will get into what makes a “cheap” video in a second but first lets check out these stats.

  3. 62% of people are more likely to have a negative perception of a brand that published a poor quality video experience.

So what qualifies a cheap or poor quality video and how to do create a high quality one? High quality doesn’t necessarily mean you have to have the biggest budget, the nicest gear, or even hire a production company every time. Some of the best received video experiences are organic and authentic just with an iPhone. Posting a simply produced house made video builds trust and authenticity with your audience while posting a higher produced video will do the same but also impacts your brands power. The main thing you want to do to guarantee a high quality video is provide value or solve a problem/question. Now I figured if I only gave you negative stats that would be a major bummer so here is the good stuff!

  1. According to Forbes, 64% of consumers say watching a video makes them more likely to buy a product or service.
  2. Companies who use video as a core marketing strategy grow their revenue 49% faster than those who don’t.
  3. By the end of 2019, 80% of all consumer internet traffic will consist of video content.


Okay, lets recap. Poorly produced videos damage your brand and business. Well produced video does wonders for your brand and business. A simple, real, authentic video does exactly that…builds a real trusting relationship with your audience. High quality produced videos can also build trust but also gives your brand more credibility and power in the audiences eye. Also remember to always give value!
